Short answer

Towe assembles LED driver boards on 3 automated production lines using SMT placement for surface-mount components and automatic wave soldering for through-hole parts such as transformers and terminals. Every board then passes computerized ICT in-circuit testing that verifies component values, polarity and shorts before the unit is ever powered.

When this process applies

This capability applies to all Towe driver families. Boards are built, tested and aged in one flow inside the 4,000 m² Zhongshan plant; nothing is subcontracted to third-party assembly houses.

Where it is the right choice

  • Standard catalog orders from single cartons to full containers
  • OEM builds where the buyer needs consistent process control, not workshop variance
  • Programmes that require the assembler and the tester to be the same accountable company

Where it is the wrong choice

Stating this explicitly matters more than a capability list: if your part falls into one of these categories, another process will cost you less.

  • One-off laboratory prototypes with unproven reference designs — our flow is optimised for repeatable production
  • Products outside LED power electronics; we are a driver specialist, not a general EMS house

  • SMT placement lines (3)
  • Automatic wave soldering machines (3)
  • Computerized ICT in-circuit test stations
  • 10 full-load aging racks downstream of assembly

Process questions

Why does it matter that assembly is in-house?

Because the company that sold you the driver is the company that built and tested it. There is no subcontractor layer between the ICT test record and the warranty, and a process change can be traced to a batch within hours.

What does ICT catch that visual inspection cannot?

Wrong component values, reversed polarity, missing parts and solder shorts on joints hidden under components. Visual inspection sees none of these, and every one of them becomes a field failure.

Can you build to my BOM for OEM drivers?

Yes, for driver products within our engineering range. We review the design for manufacturability first, then run pilot boards through the same SMT, wave soldering, ICT and aging flow before mass production.

What is your production capacity?

Three automated lines with 100 staff support both catalog volume and OEM programmes. For specific volumes and lead times, send your schedule to sales — we confirm capacity in writing before quoting.
